How to thrive in the busy season of your life??
This happens every year…
July is full of sunshine and activities. Everyone you know has plans, and invites you to those plans. You have 3 events lined up for each evening, and every weekend in the foreseeable future is booked up. And it’s all SO FUN. These are things you want to do – great people, good times, mini adventures…
The only problem is that by the end of the month, you’re exhausted.
Are you experiencing this?
July is a high energy month. There’s just too much going on for us to keep up with, and I find that this is a season where people tend to feel out of balance.
Let me correct that.
In July, they don’t feel out of balance. There’s no time to notice that. Life feels funny and happy and busy. Go, go, GO mode!
As some of you know, we just had our Embody Oracle Card Deck kickstarter launch, and it is ALOT to add into the mix of the summer…
But now August hits. Things slow down, just a little bit. Just enough for you to look at your life and think hmm, I might need to adjust a few things here…
It’s time to stop the cycle!
Next time there’s a busy season in your life, there are a few simple things that you can do to help maintain balance and THRIVE. Here are my tips:
SHIFT YOUR PERSPECTIVE
Sometimes when things get busy, all we can focus on is how busy we are. A lot can change with just a little shift in perspective.
What are you enjoying about your life right now?
What are you wins?
What new things have you been brave enough to try?
Try to stay focused on positivity and lean into the summer energy!
PRIORITIZE
Even if you’re leaning in, there’s only so much time in the day. Every week or so, sit down and prioritize.
What is important for you to fit in this week?
Do you have time set aside to make sure that is a priority?
MOST IMPORTANTLY: RESERVE TIME FOR YOURSELF!
When there are so many fun things going on, it’s hard to remember to take time for yourself. But it’s ohhh so important! You need to take time for you in order to be your best self through everything else. Make sure that YOU are a priority.
I suggest taking yourself on a date every week. That can look like many different things, depending on what you’re needing.
Maybe you need to relax. Get a pedicure or a massage. Soak in a hot tub. Cozy up at home under a blanket and read a good book.
Maybe you need to create. Take a paint and sip class – try something new!
Maybe you need to be heard. Sit and listen, or journal. Approach yourself like a good friend and ask how you’ve been doing, and what you’re feeling.
However you do it, take time to connect with yourself and make that time sacred.
Because you, my dear, deserve it.
I hope that you can hold these tips close to your heart and implement them when it feels like life is in a busy season.
I hope that they help.
With all of my love,
