What is your dream?

Some people barely allow themselves to dream. But this community is full of courageous, inspiring, sensational people, and something tells me that you, YOU reading this right now, you have a dream.

What is it? Hint — it may have to do with changing the world and making a big impact for others…

Close your eyes and visualize it. Sit with it for a minute. Let it flow through your body and your soul. Feel what it would feel like to have that dream as a reality.

Dreams, big and small, are what push us forward in life. They give us depth and beauty – they make the world challenging, and therefore, interesting. They make us interesting.

Yet most of us find roadblocks in chasing those dreams. Roadblocks that are large enough to stop us in our tracks, maybe before we’ve even taken one step forward.

When you close your eyes and picture your dream, what is it that stops you from getting there? Why can’t you reach it?

Here are some common reasons, and my advice on how to conquer them.

No Time
Maybe you are busy. It wouldn’t surprise me. Our society makes it extremely easy to be busy.

I often hear women say that they don’t have time to chase their dreams. Is this you?

Yes, there is a lot to fit into our day. Yes, there never seems to be enough time. But we do have some time, and despite what it feels like, WE choose how to fill that time.

If this dream is important to you – move things around. Reshuffle your priorities and make it happen.

Fear
So many people are afraid of what will happen if they chase their dreams.

Maybe I won’t be able to do it.
Maybe nobody will like it.
Maybe people will judge me.

And then what?

And then you learn something, probably something pretty dang valuable, and you move forward as a wiser woman with a new adjusted dream.

Life moves on, whether or not you are ready for it to. If you don’t conquer your fear and try, you will never know what could be possible.

Which brings me to…

It’s Not Possible
There are some dreams that don’t feel possible. Your dream could be to be a famous singer or actor, for instance. It’s true, it’s a saturated market. It’s true that it’s difficult to break into, and it takes a lot of work.

But is it possible?

Hell yes it is!

I have had two clients working toward this dream of singer/song writer — one who has completed her first album now and had a successful crowdfunded and launch party. And another client who had completed her first EP with me and now is in the process of working on her first full album. She just recorded it! It’s happening!

And you know what will happen if YOU try to go for your dreams?

You’ll enjoy the process. You will feel good about chasing your dreams. You will learn and grow and, somewhere along the way, you might find another dream just waiting for you that you never would have discovered otherwise.

The one thing that stands in between you and your dreams?
You.
That’s it.

It’s time to chase your dreams. Run to them. Don’t let them go. Take the first steps towards making them happen, and live for the joy of the process.

I’ve recently been knee deep in this process myself working on my own dream on that I’ve had for awhile. I’m going to tell you about it in my next newsletter, so keep an eye out!

Hint: it’s something to support and encourage you in living your dream. Now go, go get that dream of yours!

I believe in you.

With all of my love,
