Have you ever been overwhelmed with having too many things to do?
I would guess for you this isn’t a once in awhile kind of thing. This is pretty much how you exist ?:
- More work than you could fit in a day.
- Errands that keep getting pushed back.
- A mile long to do list you forgot about.
And on top of that all, the famous “when I have time” list.
What’s on yours?
I could probably guess. No offense to you – the only reason I can guess is because they are on mine also. I know how this goes. It’s human nature. We prioritize the things that we feel like we need to do and ignore the things that keep us healthy.
Healthy body.
Healthy mind.
No matter how hard I try, I often find self-care and meditation back on my “when I have time” list. It’s hard to maintain habits when you travel, or when something comes up, or when you are just generally busy, or on weekends…
The excuses are endless. Here’s the thing. It only takes 5 MINUTES.
And that’s what I tell myself. Sure, 5 minutes of selfcare a day doesn’t have quite as many benefits as 2 hours of selfcare a day, but it has more benefits than NOTHING, that’s for sure.
You have 5 minutes a day to give to you. You absolutely do. I don’t care who you are or what your life is like. Anyone can take 5 minutes to close their eyes and breathe.
Not only that, I guarantee you that by taking that 5 minutes to pause, it will make every other area of your life more efficient, more clear, and a whole lot better. You’ll find more time by making time, as often happens with dedication to healthy habits.
Sometimes we need a jumpstart. I get that. It’s hard to start a healthy habit.
